What is a postpartum doula?
For most families, navigating through the postpartum period can be both challenging and overwhelming. The Postpartum Doula comes into the home to "mother the mother" as the family transitions during this special time. By nurturing the mother and supporting her physical and emotional needs, she is then better equipped to nurture her newborn. The Postpartum Doula offers professional, nonjudgemental support, companionship and evidence based information in several areas.
